Metapunkt

Metapunkt has two connected meanings. It is the speculative organisation and metafuturist frame that grew out of Forward Remembrance. It is also the orchestration layer inside the Synesyn framework, where workflows, agents, tools, roles, and outputs are coordinated.

As a Synesyn tool, Metapunkt does not contain the entire method behind the project. Rather, it operationalises the method by helping the different parts of the system work together in a structured, traceable, and human-guided way.

What It Does

Metapunkt coordinates multi-agent workflows, tool routing, role policies, session state, audit logs, and provenance. It can manage agent definitions, assign roles, route requests to other Synesyn components, and track what happened during a session.

It is designed to support structured collaborative processes rather than free-floating automation. AI agents may propose, analyse, generate, or assist, but Metapunkt’s role is to make those actions legible, controllable, and accountable.

Metapunkt also supports capability packs: modular bundles that can add tools, panels, workflows, or agent behaviours while keeping permissions and contracts explicit.

Role in Synesyn

Metapunkt is the orchestration backbone of the Synesyn stack.

SynTree handles conversation and semantic context. SynAxes supports pattern discovery and closure formation. SynPunkt stages and renders outputs. ScenSyn turns scenarios into interactive narrative encounters. Metapunkt coordinates the movement between these layers, helping a process move from sensing, to structuring, to synthesis, to staging.

Research Context

In Forward Remembrance, Metapunkt is both method and apparatus. The speculative Metapunkt Foundation creates a frame for rehearsing what future-facing cultural infrastructure might feel like. The technical Metapunkt module gives that frame an operational form inside Synesyn.

This boundary is deliberately porous. Metapunkt is where the fiction of an organisation, the practice of metadesign, and the technical need for orchestration meet.

Current Status

Metapunkt is a functional but evolving Synesyn component for agent coordination, workflow routing, and audit-aware orchestration.
