The applications listed here are built on top of the Synesyn framework. They are not plugins in the narrow sense. They are application-layer environments that use the Synesyn tools, services, and orchestration logic to support particular kinds of work.
Where the tools and plugins provide the framework’s underlying capabilities, the applications make those capabilities usable in specific contexts: scenario-making, workshops, generative theatre, ideation, planning, and public-facing experiments.
ScenSyn
ScenSyn is the interactive scenario and roleplay application layer of Synesyn. It supports workshops, foresight sessions, generative theatre, character-based simulations, and narrative experiments. ScenSyn was used in projects such as Ìrètí Ọkàn and Stochastic Dreams, where AI characters, scenario state, and human interaction were brought together in live or semi-live settings.
It is useful to mention Catalyst-AI here - an early iteration of a workshop facilitation tool which has since been collapsed into the Workshop Catalyst Scenario theme in ScenSyn. Catalyst-AI was original built as an experimental collaborative design workshop simulation application, developed to facilitate a design fiction test case for participatory urban planning and design, specifically focused on the conceptual development of the "Karlsruhe Library of the Future" within the context of a design fiction workshop held at the Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design in June 2024. It's development has since been stopped in favour of its consolidation into the Workshop Catalyst scenario theme in ScenSyn.
ReadyMade
ReadyMade is the agentic ideation and planning application layer of Synesyn. It extends the framework into content strategy, work planning, structured drafting, and Found Concepts workflows. ReadyMade treats AI as a cognitive partner for organising, reframing, and developing ideas while keeping the process human-guided.
Together, ScenSyn and ReadyMade show how the same Synesyn infrastructure can support different kinds of public and professional use. One works through scenarios and performed futures; the other through ideation, planning, and structured creative development.
